About
Girls in Aviation Day is an opportunity for high school students to explore the exciting careers available in the aviation/aerospace industry such as engineers, aircraft maintenance technicians, pilots, operational staff, air traffic controllers, just to name a few. This free event will be held at Essendon Fields, right in the heart of some of Melbourne's biggest aviation organisations!This event is for students who identify as girls or non-binary, between the ages of 12 to 17 years of age. All students must have a guardian or adult supervisor attend with them.
What’s included:
- Lunch
- A GIAD kit filled with resources and activities
- Up close access to aircraft and aviation equipment
- Conversations with a variety of people from the aviation industry
