Down‑on‑her‑luck cleaner Celestena and struggling magician The Great Sponaldo both dream of better lives. When Sponaldo is offered the chance to perform at the Royal Palace—on the condition he has an assistant—his auditions go spectacularly wrong, losing him both the job and the Queen’s advance payment to a conman. The role is snapped up by the dubious Stupendo the Magnificent and his decorative assistant, Chantalle. Determined to recover his money and prove himself, Sponaldo—helped by quick‑thinking Celestena—heads to the palace. There, amid bungled magic, stolen crowns, and royal demands, Sponaldo gets a final chance to show he’s more than a has‑been… with Celestena ready to save the day if his magic fails.

This fast‑paced, playful one‑act comedy puts a delightfully chaotic spin on the Nativity. Archangel Gabriel tries to guide the audience through the birth of Jesus… but Lucifer has other plans. Mary and Joseph stumble from divine revelations to donkey‑back travel, while wise‑ish shepherds follow a literal “Follow Me” star to Bethlehem. Throw in a stubborn donkey, an overly keen drummer boy, and a Jesus who turns up far too early, and you’ve got a laugh‑out‑loud festive romp full of witty banter, audience interaction, and Christmas mayhem.
