            About
Join us for a full day of engaging and informative panel discussions featuring those who have successfully achieved Financial Independence and Retired Early (FIREd).

Our panelists come from diverse backgrounds and will share the strategies that propelled them to success, whether through real estate, business ventures, or equity markets.

Panelists:
Tung Nguyen
Tung is the Director of Strategy and Product for a global financial services firm, with a background as a management consultant specializing in strategy, macroeconomics, trends, and innovation. With over 15 years of corporate experience, Tung has a proven track record in building digitally disruptive businesses and leading elite product teams within large multinational corporations, pure-play digital enterprises, and lean start-up environments.
Having achieved Financial Independence (FI) in his 40s, Tung plans to fully embrace FIRE in 2025, once his youngest child completes high school, allowing him and his wife to spend six months of the year traveling. He is also the founder of Savvy Investor, a thriving Facebook community with nearly 18,000 members dedicated to helping individuals reach their first million. The community now boasts over 175 millionaires, and Tung continues to share his expertise as a personal finance coach.
Wally Chiang
Made in Taiwan, assembled in Australia, Wally fell into the common Asian misconception of equating good grades with success, resulting in him amassing more degrees than one cares to count. After gaining experience in the corporate IT sector, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by establishing his own digital marketing agency.
Having dedicated over 10,000 hours to studying macroeconomics and geopolitics over the last seven years or so, his current focus centres on wealth preservation and self-sufficiency. This involves diversifying into precious metals and cryptocurrency, alongside acquiring a 600+ acre hobby farm to learn new skills such as hunting, bushcraft, and permaculture.
With a disciplined approach to saving, investing in real estate during the booming years, and putting his business under management, Wally achieved FIRE at the age of 41. This grants him the freedom to devote his time to his family, particularly imparting his knowledge to his two young children. Moreover, Wally runs courses on his farm, catering to those embarking on their own journey towards self-sufficiency.

Host:
Jun
Jun migrated to Australia at age of 15, adapting to a new country and culture while pursuing her studies. She has built a meaningful 27 years career in pharmacy and continues to work part-time in hospital as a clinical pharmacist.
Starting from humble beginnings after marriage, Jun and her husband committed to building financial security through property investment, leveraging equity to create long-term wealth. After 15 years, she expanded into the U.S. equity markets, where she discovered the FIRE movement in an options trading community. Since then, she has focused on Financial Independence, Retire Optional (FIRO) as a pathway to greater freedom and purpose.
A strong advocate for financial literacy, Jun is particularly passionate about raising the next generation to be money-wise. Her proudest achievement is seeing both her children already on their own FIRE journeys, actively investing in equities, ETFs, and private credit funds.
With plans to FIRE in 2026, Jun is preparing for a new chapter filled with travel, exploration, and intentional living. As host of this conference, she brings her personal story of resilience and growth, along with her commitment to empowering others to pursue financial freedom.
