This course is designed to build the skills of aged care coordinators, team leaders, and care managers to confidently deliver engaging training and information sessions using Zoom or Teams, helping services meet the new requirements of the Aged Care Act.
The session will:
• Demonstrate core tools within the platform (e.g. screen share, chat, reactions, polls, breakout rooms, whiteboards)
• Guide participants through choosing the right delivery format (live facilitation, webinar, small group session, or self-paced module)
• Cover practical strategies for session planning, including:
o Designing around clear learning outcomes
o Using images, animations, and varied formats to maintain interest
o Ensuring consistency in visual style and tone
• Provide advice on confident delivery, including:
o Knowing your material and your facilitation style
o Tips for online presence and engagement
• Include a demonstration of using animation in PowerPoint
• Facilitate group discussion on effective online sessions and shared experiences
The webinar will include a combination of information delivery, examples and interactive discussion. Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be sent a follow up email with relevant resources.
