Research Skills WorkshopProgram Evaluation Masterclass: From Logic Model to Evaluation Plan
Wednesday 23 September 2026 | 9:30am–3:00pm
ECU Bunbury Campus - Building 6
Facilitator: Dr Rachel Skoss
Ready to take the next step in program evaluation? This practical follow-up masterclass will focus on building a logic model and developing an evaluation plan tailored to your own workplace context.
Through interactive activities and guided discussion, participants will work through the key components of evaluation design, including clarifying program aims, identifying outcomes, selecting appropriate indicators, and planning data collection and analysis strategies.
Participants are encouraged to attend in workplace teams and bring along an evaluand—a program, project, service, initiative, or intervention that is relevant to their organisation. Working with a real-world example will help you leave the session with evaluation tools and ideas that can be directly applied in practice.
Don't have a specific program in mind? You're still very welcome to attend. Dr Skoss will provide one or more health-related program examples for participants to use during the workshop activities.
This masterclass is ideal for health professionals, researchers, project officers, managers, and anyone involved in planning, delivering, or evaluating programs and services.
Learning outcomes:
Develop a logic model for a program or initiative
Translate program theory into measurable evaluation questions
Identify suitable indicators and data sources
Design a practical evaluation plan for your context

Join us for a hands-on day of learning and leave with a stronger foundation for planning and conducting meaningful program evaluations.
