Join us in celebrating 80 years of the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA). A not-for-profit organisation which promotes literacy for children and supports Australian authors and illustrators.
The 'Children's Book Party' will be held at Schoolworks at 147 Macleod St, Bairnsdale from 10am to 12.30pm. We are excited to have nine local children's authors from East Gippsland attending! Local illustrator, James Hart (who has illustrated books for Anh Do and George Ivanoff) will be coming to do a drawing display. Our regular Friday morning volunteer storytime reader, Karyn Blythman, will be doing some readings. We will have a special 80th birthday cake, heaps of kids activities and show bags
