Australia's most famous poet, Banjo Paterson, presented lectures in Sydney's Centenary Hall on the Boer War in September 1900. Gregory North, a professional performance poet, is re-enacting Banjo's lecture tour to around 40 towns across four states including Sydney on the 125th anniversary of his presentations.
This presentation will be an entertainment show: The Life and Rhymes of Banjo Paterson. He has been doing similar shows for the last 9 years in Winton, Queensland, where Banjo wrote "Waltzing Matilda". The show incorporates visuals as well as recitations of several of his popular poems along with history of his fascinating life.
With guest performers... in the museum and grounds wonderful Henry Kendall Cottage, W. Gosford.Entry includes museum and cottage. A very special event!
