The Creation of Préfet Haussmann's Paris
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Josy Devienne Palmer’s keen interest in 19th century history led her to exploring how Paris was reshaped under Napoleon III and Baron Haussmann.
Haussmann was tasked with bringing air and light to the centre of Paris, to unify the different neighbourhoods with boulevards, and to make Paris more beautiful. Josy will share this enormous transformation.
This is a seated indoor event to be held in the Presentation Room inside the main house, accessed from the Hospitality Verandah.
Tickets are Free however they are only valid in conjunction with the purchase of a daytime festival ticket.
Note space is limited - bookings essential.
