Somebody’s Aunt are moving themselves this way and that, seeking perspectives on home and belonging.
Grounded in the theme of ‘home’, the work draws on several perspectives including earth as home, connection to country, homelessness, at home in the body, and more. HomeGround showcases the results of two years of creative development and celebrates 20 years of dance practice.
Saturday 1st November 6pm and Sunday 2nd November 2pm. Duration: approx 1 hour.

Somebody’s Aunt is a Canberra-based dance ensemble of women, who for 20 years, have been creating work in unconventional spaces, integrating contemporary and improvised dance, theatre, voice, music, and humour. Each dancer brings an array of life experience, telling stories from different perspectives, often with a political edge.
