PIANO EISTEDDFOD 2025

Please note that sections WILL BOOK OUT before the closing date of Thursday 18 September - please enter ASAP to avoid disappointment!
When completing your booking, select your section according to your child's CURRENT AMS BOOK, please do this CAREFULLY to ensure you are booking into the correct section.
Sections are across the weekend of September 20 & 21, 2025

Grand Final at 4:45pm on Sunday September 21
Performance Requirements
Junior 2:
Students perform two pieces from the AMS books.
Students are not required to bring the music to hand in to the adjudicator.
Reports and the awarding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given at the conclusion of the section.
Junior 3 & 4 & Super Starter 2:
Students perform two pieces from the AMS books.
Students are not required to bring the music to hand in to the adjudicator.
Reports and the awarding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given at the conclusion of the section.
Junior Plus 1 & 2
Students perform two pieces from the Junior Plus books OR from their AMS Private lesson.
Performers must bring a copy of the music to hand in to the adjudicator for any piece of music that is NOT from an AMS book.
If the performance is not from memory, an additional copy should be brought for the performers use.
Reports and the awarding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given at the conclusion of the section.
Extension, Spectrum & Advanced
Two own choice pieces are required.
Extension: These may be performance pieces from class (please check with your teacher) or from Private lessons.
Spectrum: Performance pieces from Private lessons.
Advanced: Performance pieces from Private lessons. When booking select either the 'Primary School' or 'High School' section accordingly.
Performers MUST bring a copy of the music to hand in to the adjudicator with their name on it, for any piece of music that is NOT from an AMS book.
If the performance is not from memory, an additional copy should be brought for the performers use.
At the conclusion of each heat, finalists will be announced and given their report.
Grand Final on the same day, Sunday September 21 at 4:45pm.
Finalists will perform one piece selected by the adjudicator. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be announced for each section.
Winners of the Extension, Spectrum & Advanced sections will receive a Gift Voucher in addition to the trophies and medals.
The 2024 AMS Performance Award will also be announced at the end of the Grand Final and given the perpetual shield.
DUET SECTIONS
ONE piece is required.
The piece must be scored for Piano Duet (not taken from an ensemble, piano solo etc).
Performers must bring a copy of the music to hand in to the adjudicator for any piece of music that is NOT from an AMS book. If the performance is not from memory, an additional copy should be brought for the performers use.
This is an OPEN AGE section - Family and/or AMS child combos are welcome.
Reports and the awarding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be given at the conclusion of the section.
GENERAL EISTEDDFOD INFORMATION
- Students must announce and bow before they begin to play.
- All students must dress in appropriate performance attire: no thongs, singlets, short shorts please.
- Entry for all sections (ex Duets) is $27. Duets is $32 (for 2 entrants).
- Please select your section carefully as cancellations will incur a $10 administration fee.
Audience Entry: $12 for adults & $6 for children (over 4 years old) payable at the venue on the day and cannot be purchased online.
Note: This is a cashless event.
(There is no door fee for performers)
