Porch Couch (CAN)
Alan Mackie and Jaron Freeman-Fox are Porch Couch, reanimating old-time and square dance tunes from Appalachia and beyond on fiddle and banjo, deftly balancing a deep respect for tradition against all the times they've shirked it: throat singing with Norwegians in a Siberian yurt camp, modern dancers leaping across tables at the PWYC bar gig, or playing for Swedish ravers under the midnight sun while the drummer bangs pool cues on the floor. Wry, colourful, and psychedelic, Porch Couch is an original sound in traditional music that moves listeners and dancers alike.

Emily-Rose and The Wild
Emily-Rose & The Wild is a kaleidoscope dream. A musical shapeshifter, who crafts unexpectedly beautiful moments with voice, keyboards and accordion, Emily-Rose graces the stage from a solo format to large bands of exquisite musicians, underpinned by her virtuosic instrumentalism and crystalline voice.
Refusing to sit comfortably in any box, her music screams experimental akin to Björk and comforting fireside folk similar to Joni Mitchell, with a fierce through line of environmentalism and keen observations of the human condition. Her work is celebrated in the worlds spanning jazz, folk, indie, electronic and experimental and every track is a new trip through magical soundscapes. Be prepared to get delightfully lost in the sound.
