The Greek Student Short Film Festival is returning for its 13th year, showcasing a selection of imaginative films from primary and secondary students who are studying or speak Greek.

The festival gives students an opportunity to use the Greek language in creative and innovative ways while encouraging the preservation of Greek culture.

The films selected for screening are short fiction, animations, or documentaries, and they all incorporate the chosen theme. The theme for 2025 is "Democracy," and students and teachers are encouraged to interpret it creatively.

Each short film must also include a signature item, which this year is a "scale." The films will be screened at the 30th Greek Film Festival Sydney, where prizes will be awarded in the primary and secondary categories.
