Piano Sonatas by Ludovico Giustini (1685–1743), Sebastian de Albero (1722–1756), Giovanni Benedetto Platti (1697–1763), Domenico Scarlatti (1685–1757)Jacqueline Ogeil is an internationally respected artistic leader, performer and musicologist. Among many achievements she is Artistic Director of the acclaimed Woodend Winter Arts Festival, and Director of the baroque ensemble Accademia Arcadia. She performs on harpsichord, organ and fortepiano, and has released eleven CDs. She has been broadcast on EBU radio, ABCFM (twice being featured as CD of the week) and 3MBS. Her scholarly articles on Domenico Scarlatti have been published internationally. Her doctoral dissertation on Domenico Scarlatti’s sonatas strengthened the case that the composer was writing primarily for the new-fangled invention of Bartolomeo Cristofori that we now call the piano. She commissioned a copy of one of Cristofori’s instruments, the only instrument of its type in the southern hemisphere.
