About
Organ music of César FranckJennifer Chou is one of Melbourne’s most talented organists. Born in Hong Kong, she graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong majoring in the organ, continuing studies at Northwestern University, then in Paris and Toulouse. She made her Melbourne Town Hall debut as soloist with the Orchestra Victoria soon after she settled in Australia in 2004. She has performed as a soloist across Australia and overseas, including Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and Westminster Abbey in London, as well as in Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and the Philippines. She is a sought after organ teacher. Since 2015, she has taught the organ at Melbourne High School. She has also conducted master classes in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, and acts as an adjudicator in organ competitions and eisteddfods. At present, she is Associate Organist at the Scots Church Melbourne, organ teacher for Melbourne High School and Camberwell Grammar School.
