The Revlon Girl
In an unexpectedly funny story set in the mid-1960s, a group of Welsh mothers with a common history meet weekly in a leaking, bare function room in their town of Aberfan. The women realise they’ve let themselves go a bit over recent months, though anyone else would understand why. When a beautiful stranger comes to town, her arrival brings an uplifting of spirits that’s full of humour, heart, wonderful characters and the indomitable human will to move on.
