For September the Ramona book club will be reading Amma, by New Zealand author Saraid de Silva. It's a story of generational gaps, unspeakable truths and inherited trauma. Switching between decades and Singapore, London and New Zealand, this beautiful book tells the story of three generations of women from the same family, and their different pathways and responses to shifting cultures.You have a month to read the book, then we'll get together to chat about what we liked, or didn't, over wine (or soft drinks) after dark in the bookshop. All are welcome, whether this is your first book club or fiftieth - it's our monthly get together of local readers. Tickets include the book, a drink on arrival and your place on the night. Simply book your ticket and pick up your copy in store.
