Our end of year blues night is going to be a big one. It's been another amazing year and it's time to celebrate! Join us for a fun night of social dancing to fabulous DJed music ... PLUS...join in or cheer on our competitors in The Blues Battle! This year we are hosting The Night Owls' annual Mix and Match as well as our first ever Strictly Blues competition.
When buying tickets please buy a social pass PLUS tickets for whichever competition you would like to enter. If you are entering the Strictly Blues you will need to let us know your chosen partner for that event.

8:00 pm - 8:30 pm - Beginner blues dancing lesson
8:30 pm - 11:30 pm - Social dancing to DJed blues music
9:30 pm - Blues dance competitions (Mix & Match and Strictly)
Competition details:
If heats are required they will be held on the night in an Allskate formation with the judges 'tapping in' competitors into the finals.
Finals will be a 60-90 sec shine with 2 couples dancing at the same time in a Battle format. Judges will choose one couple to go through to the next round.
Each Battle round will be one song and may come from a range of blues genres, eras and tempos.
The Final round of both the Mix & Match and Strictly will be two songs.
Lots of audience cheering and participation are encouraged throughout!

We acknowledge we are gathering and dancing on the ancestral lands of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the first inhabitants of this nation and the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we live, learn, work and dance. We pay our respects to their leaders - past, present and emerging. We take this opportunity to honour and appreciate the rich musical and dance culture of Australia's first people.
Terms and Conditions
1. All attendees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
2. All attendees are encouraged to use hand sanitiser on arrival and periodically during the night.
3. Do not come dancing if you are feeling
a) unwell,
b) experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, or
c) in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case.
4. Refunds will be given if you are unwell for any reason up until 12 pm on Friday for Friday's social night or 9 am on Saturday for Saturday's workshops. Please note - there is a $10 admin fee for refunds.
5. All attendees have read and agreed to The Night Owls Code of Conduct
6. Photography and videos may be take throughout the event. If you do not want you photo taken, please inform Shob or Andy.
