About Bonnie Curtis

Bonnie Curtis is an independent artist and founder of Bonnie Curtis Projects, known for her thought-provoking dance theatre works. Her creations have featured at ImPulsTanz, MuMoK (AT), Girona Film Festival (ES), CinéWomen (EU), NZ Fringe, Melbourne Fringe, Merrigong Theatre Company, Sydney Fringe, and more. A recipient of the Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant and alum of the ATLAS Programme at ImPulsTanz Vienna, she is currently Artistic Associate – Artist Wellbeing at Merrigong Theatre Company, where she leads the MERRIGONGX Artist Wellbeing Program she developed. A graduate of AMPA with a B.Dance, Bonnie’s practice blends technical dance with creative and somatic approaches, often exploring life’s darker themes.

Following the Creative Dance Movement Workshop, Bonnie will be joined by members of the Bonnie Curtis Projects - Dance Company to present an excerpt of her work Vogelsang.

Vogelsang by Bonnie Curtis Projects explores the evolving relationship between women, their bodies, and the spaces they inhabit. Drawing inspiration from the process of radioactive decay, the performance reflects on how connections form, shift, and eventually dissolve—leaving traces, echoes, and a sense of transformation. Vogelsang invites audiences to witness the delicate balance of creation and decay in these ever-changing relationships.
