A memorable theatrical experience reflecting a romantic friendship, beginning with two dorky 3rd-graders, Melissa Gardiner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, and their subsequent life-long, hand-written correspondence to each other, set in an era well before the advent of faxes, texts, emails and all forms of social media.
The skill and magic of the written and spoken word is right here, to inform and delight.
Words fly off the pages, and are read aloud, as they take us on a fifty-year journey encompassing love, longing, estrangement and tenderness, with shared nostalgia revealing so much from what is written, and what is left unsaid.
Four matinee shows only, over two weekends.
