Walkley award winning journalist and ABC historian Dr Margaret Simons will deliver the 2025 Rod Wallace Memorial Lecture for the Friends of the NFSA on Monday 20 October at the NFSA’s Arc Cinema, beginning at 7 pm. She will discuss the predicted end of terrestrial television, review the recent history of the public broadcaster and why it is still needed, and what publicly funded “broadcasting” means for Australian film and sound, now and in the future.Location
