The day begins with an Open Mic session hosted by acclaimed Launceston poet Kim Nielsen-Creeley, whose work was recently highly commended in Tasmania’s top poetry honour, the 2025 Tim Thorne Poetry Prize.Next up is the presentation of the Andrew Hardy Youth Poetry Prize, celebrating the voices of emerging young Tasmanian poets, followed by the lively "Leave 'Em Laughing" Poets Panel — a Q&A guaranteed to entertain and inspire.
In the afternoon, we explore humour in poetry with the featured poets "Leave 'me laughing" Q & A Panel.
After that we welcome City Park Radio as they broadcast the festival live.
All of our featured poets will read and be interviewed by City Park Radio.
