Raised on a vast sheep and cattle station in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Adelaide Bragg's sensitivity to colour, texture and light was shaped by the Australian landscape. Her mother’s English-style garden, which skirted the family homestead, offered an alternative colour palette. Her design language draws on this duality, where earthy, antipodean tones meet the softness of curated florals. Natural fibres, textiles and materials such as wool, linen, grass cloth, leather and wood are transformed into timeless furniture, fixtures, fittings and wall features, reflecting Adelaide’s unique outlook.
Adelaide Bragg speaks to the heart of her 'Australian aesthetic' with writer Robyn Lea. Their chat will be framed around the raw materials and creative influences that continue to guide Adelaide’s work.
