Sunshine Tip
Sunshine Tip is a Melbourne-based acoustic outfit playing melodic, dark, alt-country originals. David Bowers (guitars, vocals), Dee Hannan (mandolin, vocals), Alice Garner (cello) and Al Barden (drums) bring to George Lane their evocative, imaginatively arranged songs about life on the shifting borders between city and country, youth and adulthood.
Sunshine Tip members channel a wealth of musical experience across many genres into their take on alt-country/Americana - from rock to lounge, jazz, funk, electronica, Greek and Irish traditions. You might know the band members from groups like Eugene Hamilton and the Money, Xylouris Ensemble, Hogbelly Morton's Country Revue, the Nubiles, the Troubles, euphonia, Sally Ford & the Idiomatics, Marcel Borrack’s Telecaster Diaries, Machine Translations and Minibikes... and plenty of others.
