About

This course is for 15-to 25-year-olds who do not have a Surf Rescue Certificate award and wish to patrol at Coogee Beach. It runs during the January holidays and provides participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness to participate in lifesaving operations.

Candidates must complete a First Aid course if they do not already have a First Aid certificate.

Course Schedule:
• 2, 3, 4, January: 9am – 4pm
• 5, 6, 7 January: 4pm – 8pm
• 10, 11 January: 9am – 2pm
• Assessment & Graduation: 11 January

To qualify for the Course you need to:
• Be aged 15 years old or over
• 400m swim in the Ocean in 9 mins or under

Bookings close: 5pm, Sunday 14 December 2025 (If booked after 15 December, club apparel may be delayed).
