Rotary Club of Toowoomba North Foundation Dinner
About
Join us for a two-course dinner and a rare opportunity to hear from Peter Shann Ford — an award-winning innovator, enabler, and former broadcaster — as he shares his inspiring journey at the intersection of technology, communication, and human potential.Peter was the first Australian CNN news anchor based in Atlanta. Following his media career, he worked with the U.S. Government’s Rehabilitation Research and Development Lab at the Veterans Administration.
Peter went on to establish Control Bionics, a pioneering neural systems technology company, and is the inventor of NeuroSwitch — a patented EMG (electromyograph) and EOG (electrooculography) communication and control system designed for people with profound disabilities, including those with locked-in syndrome.
For over 100 years, the Rotary Foundation has empowered Rotarians to advance peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, and grow local economies
