During the visit guests will have the opportunity to explore a traditional Slovenian AZ beehive, a distinctive cabinet-style hive that reflects the country’s long-standing beekeeping heritage. The experience will begin with an introduction to Slovenian beekeeping and the important role bees play in maintaining biodiversity. Visitors will then learn about the unique design of the AZ hive, which allows beekeepers to access the frames from the back without disturbing the bees, making the process more efficient and less invasive. If the weather is nice there will be a live demonstration of a hive inspection, giving guests a close-up view of the bees and the beekeeper’s work. Protective equipment will be provided for those who wish to participate more actively. The visit will conclude with a Q&A session with an experienced beekeeper. This visit offers a rare and authentic glimpse into one of Slovenia’s most cherished agricultural traditions.Session run at 10:30am, 12:30pm & 2:00pm for 1hr

Med obiskom boste imeli priložnost raziskati tradicionalni slovenski AŽ čebelnjak, značilen panj v obliki omarice, ki odraža dolgoletno čebelarsko dediščino države. Spoznali boste pomembno vlogo čebel pri ohranjanju biotske raznovrstnosti. Seznanili se boste z edinstveno zasnovo čebelnjaka, ki čebelarjem omogoča dostop do okvirjev z zadnje strani, ne da bi pri tem motili čebele, zaradi česar je postopek učinkovitejši in manj invaziven. V primeru lepega vremena bo na voljo demonstracija pregleda panja v živo, kjer si boste lahko od blizu ogledali čebele in čebelarjevo delo. Na voljo bo zaščitna oprema. Ob koncu obiska boste lahko čebelarju zastavili tudi vprašanja. Ta obisk ponuja redek in pristen vpogled v eno najbolj cenjenih tradicij v Sloveniji.
