This session will explore the role Graduate Teachers play in whole school Inclusion; how to effectively support students requiring varying levels of adjustment throughout their learning day. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the Disability Inclusion Profile, the significance of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and how to contribute meaningfully to them from the early stages of your teaching journey. Lastly, we will explore the options for building teacher capability and where to learn more about Disability Inclusion.There will be opportunities for you to share your experiences with other graduates in your setting, whether primary, secondary, or special education, ask questions of the Department of Education’s DI Implementation Team and leave with key understandings and strategies you can use back in your classrooms and wider school communities.
