Masters in the art of connection, Victoria Vigenser (NZ) and Lindsay Martin (AU) fuse soulful vocals, effortless strings and driving rhythms to form a singular musical voice. They have been called contemp-folk, alt-country and acoustic-pop, but no words can describe the heartfelt way they connect with their audiences.
They bring worldly originals that pack a punch: Vigenser’s penchant for turning cliches into meaningful metaphors is compounded by Martin’s ability to pull hundreds of emotions from one set of strings. Add internationally renowned cellists/multiinstrumentalists Rachel Johnston (NZ) and Trent Arkleysmith (AU) to the mix and you have a rare union of original musical minds, capable of reaching right into your soul by playing straight from theirs.
Currently touring new album “Heart of Silver” to wide acclaim, they have already amassed a multitude of accolades including nominations as Best Folk Artist in both the Aotearoa Music Awards and the Australian Folk Music Awards. With rave reviews across the UK, Europe and Australia it’s no wonder they have become international festival favourites.
“...an undoubted masterclass in music delivery and songwriting” Fatea Records, UK
“...an impressive dynamic” Sounds of South, Germany
“The violin cries for her and the harmony vocals are divine” 13th Floor, NZ
“Simply wow!” Die Rheinpfalz, Germany
