With book by Elise Greig and lyrics and composition by Matthew Semple, we learn that Florence was a charismatic risk taker who turned the Australian wallpaper world on its head.  Her luxurious and vibrant designs made waves around the world, but perhaps her most innovative design of all was herself. Based on Helen O'Neill's beautiful book, Florence Broadhurst: Her Secret and Extraordinary Lives, this new musical explores the life of an enigmatic and extraordinary Australian. Best known for her exquisite wallpaper prints, Florence’s life was as colourful and adventurous as the exotic birds and bold colour strokes, she captured on her silk screens.  This new musical celebrates Florence’s life and legacy.
