2025 Bayliss Symposium

Hosted by the School of Molecular Sciences at the University of Western Australia, the 2025 Bayliss Symposium will be a two-day celebration of the molecular sciences held on 24th and 25th November 2025.Held in the iconic Bayliss building in its 20th anniversary year, the Bayliss Symposium aims to showcase research excellence in the molecular sciences at UWA in fields from chemistry to biochemistry and genetics, and foster connection and collaboration within the Bayliss community and the broader molecular sciences community in Perth.
The program will include plenary talks by two internationally renowned guest speakers working at the interface of chemistry and biology, Professor David Parker, FRS (Hong Kong Baptist University) and Professor Nick Long (Imperial College London).
Other highlights include keynote presentations by leading researchers at UWA (Dr Shannon Corrigan, Minderoo OceanOmics Centre and TBA), student presentations and prizes, poster sessions, social events, and an Art Meets Science Exhibition (details to be announced).
All UWA staff and students working in the field of molecular sciences are invited to submit an abstract to be considered for a talk and/or poster presentation. Abstracts can be submitted until Monday 13 October 2025 via the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/XpDdtfYX7X
