Junior Zookeeper - School Holiday Program
About
Be a Junior Zookeeper and learn all about looking after some amazing animals in the newly opened Zoology Centre at Lilydale High School.Drop off at the door of the Zoology Centre for all Junior Zookeepers at 9.00am and at 1.00pm pick up your Junior Zookeeper where they can give their families a tour of the centre. This is open to all Primary school children from 6 to 12 years old. Each session is limited to 15 Zookeepers and students will be supervised at all times.
Zookeepers will get a chance to see Crocodiles and Snakes being fed. (Warning: dead rats and mice are fed to many of our animals) The day is an educational and fun session. Zookeepers will get to feed our Frogs, Turtles and Lizards with fresh vegetables and in some cases live bugs. There will be opportunities to hold and touch animals under supervision.
NOTE: Each Zookeeper will need to bring their own morning tea, lunch and a drink.

PLEASE NOTE:
Zookeepers should wear loose fitted summer weight clothing as the centre can be very warm.
For safety reasons Zookeepers need to wear Closed toe shoes for protection.
A minimum of 6 participants are required for the session to run. (Payments will be refunded if this occurs.)
