Acacia Quartet

About
Luscious SunriseString quartets never fail to replenish the soul. The Acacia Quartet, known for their versatile and inventive programs, return by popular demand. In this concert, they present String Quartet Op. 76 No. 4 by Haydn, the composer widely understood to have shaped the string quartet into the mature, expressive form we know today. This quartet is known as the ‘Sunrise' for its rising opening motif. The purity of this late work by Haydn is matched with the lush, harmonically inventive colours of Brahms’ String Quartet No. 1. A contemporary Australian work will act as palate cleanser.
