A celebration of a quarter of a century of sisterly love and music. Jonnie Goes To Church is the music of Celia Church and Jon von Goes. They’re Archies Creek locals and pretty well known around these parts. But who is Julia Deans? Celia’s a New Zealander and Julia Deans lives in New Zealand. Celia and Julia have been singing together for 25 years and they’re besties. Julia is NZ rock royalty. In 2000 her band Fur Patrol had a #1 hit in New Zealand. She’s collaborated musically with Tami Neilson, Neil Finn, Delaney Davidson and Tiki Taane. She’s done rock, musical theatre, orchestras and even opera. She’s had multiple noms for multiple gongs - the Taite Music Prize, the APRA Silver Scroll, and the NZ Music Awards. And this cup day weekend Julia’s gonna be in town. It had to happen. There’ll be a bit of Julia solo, a bit of Julia and Celia, and a bit of Jonnie Goes to Church.
