Anabolic Steroids and Other PIEDs: A harm reduction approach

This one-hour online workshop is designed for Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) staff working with clients who use Anabolic Steroids and Other Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs (PIEDs).
Learn about current trends, health harms, injection practices, and how to provide practical, non-judgmental harm reduction advice. The session also explores strategies to build rapport, reduce stigma, and encourage return visits.

Dr Beng Eu, GP and co-director of Prahran Market Clinic, brings over 25 years of experience supporting people who use anabolic steroids. He will share clinical insights into health impacts, emerging practices, and harm reduction approaches in healthcare settings.
