Know Thyself

About
To know thyself we must start to explore the nature of the mind. The Vipassana teachings shed light on how we receive information from the environment through our senses & interpret their meaning based on our interaction at the time, forming thoughts & ideas about what is harmful or helpful, what we like or dislike. We experience our whole life this way & so our younger experiences are still informing our ideas today. Some these perception are useful but some are not.If we want to create change in our life to understand ourself & our reactions we want to start noticing our thoughts & feelings & to bare witness to the grasping & clinging of wants & needs which drive us & feed our reactivity. We explore the mind through some guided meditation exercises & have some time for reflection & journalling.Loving kindness.Having our own back & softening to allow ourself to feel & to build a sense of compassion to ourself & others is essential for getting to Know thyself in a gentle loving way
