Baking with poppy seeds

Who loves poppy seeds as much as I do? To this day, the family-run bakery in the small village in the South of Germany where I grew up makes the most fabulous poppy seed slices. Sometimes, Mum would get ‘something’ for afternoon coffee, and if I could put in a ‘request’, it would be one of those slices.
So, this class is dedicated to all things ‘poppy seed’, and my recipe for the filling of the poppy seed tartlets is, indeed, based on those wonderful slices. We are we going to create a poppy seed & lemon loaf cake, yeast scrolls with a creamy poppy seed filling (or, alternatively, a large twisted poppy plait) and tartlets with a poppy seed cream and butter crumble. They all taste soooo amazing!
Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. The small class size (maximum of 6 participants) ensures plenty of opportunity for questions and one-on-one conversations to maximise your learning experience.
