INTERIORS — Kaleidoscope

PRODUCT — Spark

Spark showcases the inventive spirit of North Metropolitan TAFE’s Certificate IV in Design students through a collection of domestic goods that reimagine everyday living. From tables and tableware to shoes, knives, and backpacks, each prototype explores the intersection of form, function, and materiality.

Crafted from ceramics, timber, concrete, resin, and more, these objects reflect curiosity, experimentation, and craftsmanship. Spark is a celebration of how design transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary.

JEWELLERY — Las Estrellas & Expression

Las Estrellas highlights the technical mastery of North Metropolitan TAFE’s jewellery apprentices. Rooted in tradition, these finely crafted pieces showcase the precision, discipline, and artistry required in trade manufacturing.

Expression, by Diploma of Visual Arts students, takes jewellery into bold new territory—conceptual, sculptural, and deeply personal. These works challenge convention, using form and material to tell stories and provoke emotion. Together, the exhibitions celebrate jewellery as both craft and art.

GRAPHICS — Vivid

Vivid is the high-voltage showcase of North Metropolitan TAFE’s graduating Graphic Design students. With work spanning UX, branding, illustration, packaging, motion, and typography, this exhibition pulses with creative energy and bold ideas.

From fabric to form, these emerging designers are reshaping the future of fashion. Their work responds to industry shifts with sustainability, collaboration, and individuality at its core.

BUILDING — Draft Punk

Draft Punk invites you to explore the final projects of North Metropolitan TAFE’s Diploma of Building Design students. Tasked with designing a two-storey commercial building, each student worked closely with industry mentors to bring their vision to life.

The exhibition features presentation posters, client booklets, video flythroughs, and more—showcasing a rich blend of software, media, and imagination. It’s a celebration of design thinking, technical skill, and creative problem-solving.

VISUAL ARTS — 925

925 marks the 125th anniversary of North Metropolitan TAFE with a compelling exhibition by nine graduating visual artists. Their works invite reflection on personal and cultural realities, exploring themes of place, memory, emotion, shared humanity, and environmental concern through photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, and installation.

Each artist’s choice of materials and mediums is deeply personal, revealing stories of contemplation, trauma, and cross-cultural perspectives. 925 is a celebration of emerging voices in visual arts—thoughtful, provocative, and deeply connected to the world around us.

Specialist Make-up – Creative Dimensions

Showcasing the imagination, skill, and innovation of our 2025 Diploma of Screen and Media – Specialist Make-up graduating students, Creative Dimensions highlights the limitless possibilities within the screen and media industries collaborating and working on and off production sets. This showcase reflects both the diverse artistic directions of this year’s cohort and the depth of their specialised make-up abilities from initial concept through to final transformation. Featuring creative works spanning film, television, theatre, music productions, and fashion, the exhibition will display special effects and prosthetics pieces, exceptional wigs, props, and intricate costuming each a testament to their technical skill, artistry, and storytelling.
