INTERIORS Exhibition name: Kaleidoscope
Step inside Kaleidoscope—an immersive exhibition that transforms ideas into experiences. Here, the graduating work of North Metropolitan TAFE’s Advanced Diploma of Interior Design students unfolds as a journey through shifting perspectives, vibrant concepts, and imaginative worlds.
Like the turning lens of a kaleidoscope, the exhibition invites you to move through a spectrum of spaces—evocative hospitality and retail environments, innovative workplaces, and intimate residential designs. Each project immerses you in a different story, revealing how interior design shapes the way we gather, connect, and live.
Kaleidoscope is more than a showcase of final projects; it is a multi-sensory encounter with the future of design—bold, thoughtful, and endlessly inventive.
SHORTER ALTERNATIVE: Kaleidoscope showcases the vision of North Metropolitan TAFE’s graduating Interior Design students—transforming ideas into immersive spaces that inspire and delight. |
PRODUCT Exhibition name: Spark
Spark ignites the imagination with a showcase of innovative domestic goods designed by North Metropolitan TAFE’s Certificate IV in Design students. This year’s collection includes occasional tables, knives, shoes, backpacks, salt and pepper shakers, and conceptual nature vessels—each exploring how the objects we live with every day can be reimagined.
Students have worked with a wide range of materials—ceramics, timber, concrete, resin, and plastics—testing how form, function, and materiality intersect in the home. From playful tableware to practical furniture, these prototypes demonstrate how design thinking transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Spark celebrates fresh ideas in product design—where curiosity, experimentation, and craftsmanship combine to shape the future of the things that surround us.
SHORTER ALTERNATIVE: Spark shines a light on innovative domestic goods—from tables and tableware to shoes, knives, and backpacks—prototypes crafted from ceramics, timber, concrete, resin, and more. |

From intricate settings to perfectly balanced forms, each piece demonstrates how trade manufacturing combines artistry with technical expertise. Precision celebrates the jewellers who are shaping their professional practice and carrying forward the craft of making at the highest standard.
SHORTER ALTERNATIVE: Showcasing the skill and mastery of our jewellery apprentices, Precision highlights craftsmanship, technique, and the art of making.
Expression
Diploma of Visual Arts (Jewellery Design) Exhibition
Expression presents the bold and imaginative work of Diploma jewellery students, where personal voice and contemporary design thinking take centre stage.
In contrast to the exacting traditions of the trade, these works push the boundaries of what jewellery can be – conceptual, sculptural, and expressive. Students explore form, material, and meaning to create wearable objects that tell stories, provoke emotion, and expand our understanding of adornment.
Expression celebrates jewellery as art, revealing how today’s designers reimagine a timeless practice for a contemporary world.
SHORTER ALTERNATIVE: Bold, inventive, and personal. Expression reveals how our Diploma students push jewellery design beyond tradition into concept and storytelling.
