A Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers - Junior Play 2025
About
Westminster Drama Presents the 2025 Junior Play "A Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers".“A Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers” began in 2000 as a short fight scene inspired by Romeo and Juliet, created by Head of Drama John Doherty, to showcase the acting and stage combat skills of the Martial Arts Stunt Krew (MASK), an organisation now providing stunt choreographers and performers internationally.
Over time, it grew into a full three-act play that asks, “What if the feud between the Capulets and Montagues continued after Romeo and Juliet’s deaths?” blending Shakespeare’s world with creative new twists. Since its first full performance in 2012, each new production (2016, 2021) has brought fresh energy, style, and teamwork from dedicated students and mentors.
Held in the Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts - Drama Theatre there are three performances on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 of November. Each night commences at 7pm, concluding at 10pm with 2 x 15min intervals.
We thank the invaluable support of Old Scholars and Westminster Staff who brought their specialized skills to the great work of this cast. We hope you will support our Year 8- 10 students, and their fantastic Year 11 Production Crew with your attendance.
