October Tasting, Nundah Sept: Fruit and Nut Cheeseboard

The whisky world is in a constant state of innovation, moving beyond traditional aging to explore a broader palette of flavours.
Our October event is a testament to this, celebrating whiskies that have been shaped in unexpected ways, exploring expressions aged in barrels that once held fruit and nut spirits, wines, woods, and other fermentations. This intricate process allows whisky to absorb unique compounds and oils, resulting in flavours far beyond the conventional.
To top it off, we’ll be pairing each whisky with cheeses aged in the caves of The Cheeseboard Albion.
Prepare your palate for an unexpected evening, where the art of distillation meets the alchemy of unconventional aging.
We will be having:
- Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment Experimental Series 05 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
- Cape Byron Mac Liqueur Cask Single Malt Australian Whisky
- Amrut Naarangi First Batch Single Malt Indian Whisky
- Malt Social x Loaded Barrel Cacao Nib Seasoned Single Malt Australian Whisky
- Bardstown Bourbon Co WVGBC Infrared Cherry Oak Finished Blended Rye Whiskey
October is a cheese pairing tasting, with cheese platters once more being provided by Wendy from The Cheesboard Albion for an additional $40 per person. Wendy usually brings along additional cheeses to purchase on the night, for those who don't want their cheese experience to end!
While whisky is of course provided for the tasting, you are also welcome to bring your own beverages to enjoy with your meal (light meal provided).
Please make sure you bring your own glasses for the tasting, as glasses provided by the venue are limited.
