Papua New Guinea proudly marked a historic milestone on 16 September 2025 - its 50th Independence Day.To honour this golden jubilee, the Consulate General of Papua New Guinea in Brisbane will host the 50th Independence Anniversary Gala Ball on Saturday, 8 November 2025, at the Tattersall’s Club, Brisbane.
This distinguished event will be a vibrant showcase of PNG’s rich cultural heritage, national pride, and remarkable achievements over the past five decades. Under the theme “Celebrate our history, Inspire our future,” the evening will reflect on PNG’s journey since independence while highlighting its vision for a dynamic, inclusive and globally connected future.
