Brisbane City Pops Orchestra - KENMORE EVENT - A Journey Through Time

The Brisbane City Pops Orchestra is thrilled to present our final concerts for 2025. Travel across the centuries as we present - A Journey Through Time. Hear our beautiful arrangement of that early favourite Greensleeves, Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, the Overture from the Barber of Seville by Rossini, Brahm’s Hungarian Dance No 5 and the Thunder and Lightning Polka by Johann Strauss II. Enter the Twentieth Century with hits such as Strike Up the Band and works by Jerome Robbins as well as film classics such as the Forrest Gump Suite, themes from Genesis (2018) and the love theme from Cinema Paradiso played by our own, Richard Clegg. Our guest artists are the members of the music group Outside The Jukebox, directed by Marcia Penman. They will perform songs such as Someone to Watch Over Me, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, A medley of Cole Porter and I Still Call Australia Home. Our conductor and MC will be the ever popular Andrew Robinson.
