TTAG: Tourette Awareness in Educational Settings - Part I
            About
Part I: Tourette Awareness in Schools – Why It Matters
Schools are often the first places where Tourette Syndrome is noticed — but also where it is most frequently misunderstood. For students, this can lead to stigma, isolation, or missed opportunities for support. Educators, classmates, and entire school communities play a powerful role in shaping how Tourette Syndrome is perceived and understood.
In this first session, we’ll explore why raising awareness in schools is essential, highlight the role of Tourette Awareness Presenters, and show how they can empower teachers, students, and families to create learning environments that are inclusive, supportive, and stigma-free. You’ll gain insight into how awareness initiatives can change perspectives, foster empathy, and open doors for children and young people with Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders.
At the end of the session, you’ll also be invited to share your own views and experiences through a live survey — a valuable chance to make your voice heard, contribute to international dialogue, and help shape the future of Tourette awareness in education worldwide.
