From the embers of The Timbers rises Castle Bats, a brand-new project from longtime collaborators Benjamin Roberts and Simon Basey. Known for founding and driving the high-energy folk outfit The Timbers, the duo now take flight in a fresh direction — weaving powerful storytelling crafted with unique arrangements featuring the distinctive blend of pedal organ, toy piano, ukulele, and banjo. The Castle Bats are creating a fresh and captivating sonic landscape with drones, rhythms and loops spawning darkly atmospheric and fiercely alive songwriting.
