Gaza Fundraiser: Where Olive Trees Weep Screening + Q&A

About
Join us for a moving and timely screening of Where Olive Trees Weep, a powerful documentary that sheds light on the human cost of the Israeli occupation in Palestine. Through the personal stories of journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, activist Ahed Tamimi, Israeli journalist Amira Hass, and the trauma healing work of Dr. Gabor Maté, the film explores themes of loss, oppression, and deep-rooted resilience. The evening will open with a short documentary explaining the historical background of the Israel–Palestine conflict, followed by a brief video about AMURTEL’s ongoing work with Gaza refugees - where all fundraiser proceeds will be directed. A live Q&A panel will follow the film, featuring speakers from Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine, Jews for Palestine Northern Rivers and AMURT.
This is a rare opportunity to reflect, learn, and support humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
