Professional Development activities for Teachers and Educational Support Staff and school-based therapists who want more knowledge and understanding of autism and how it impacts the classroom.These workshops will assist attendees to increase their understanding of the fundamentals of ASD and develop skills to better support autistic students.

The workshop will be presented in 3 sessions.
Session 1, Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder and the Impact on Learning.
Session 2, Communication across the Spectrum.
Session 3, Creating Inclusive Classrooms.
These will be presented by Pamela Mathieson, Principal and April Beaton, speech pathologist.
Cost: $200 per person (includes hand out notes, examples of visual supports, morning tea, light lunch and certificate)
