"Sonata Dialogues"
About
A Twilight Concert at Urrbrae HouseMinas Berberyan - Violin
Damien Mansfield – Piano
In 1779, the young Mozart composed his Violin Sonata No. 26 in B-flat major, K. 378, a work of youthful brilliance and graceful dialogue between violin and piano. A century later, in 1879, Brahms, age 46, published his Violin Sonata No. 1 in G major, Op. 78 (“Rain Sonata”), where warmth and introspection take the place of Mozart’s radiant charm — yet both share the same lyrical spirit and intimate conversation between two voices.
Two of Adelaide’s prominent musicians will bring these cornerstone sonatas to life in a concert not to be missed!
