Join us for an engaging and practical session on supporting students with Down syndrome in inclusive classrooms.
This session explores the diversity of learners with Down syndrome and the many ways they contribute to rich, inclusive learning communities. Together, we’ll unpack common myths and assumptions, highlight the unique learning profiles and strengths of students with Down syndrome, and consider how to create supportive classroom environments that promote belonging, participation, and independence.
You’ll leave with a toolkit of practical, evidence-informed strategies to help you:
- Plan and differentiate learning to build on student strengths
- Foster independence and confidence
- Support communication, engagement, and peer connection
Whether you’re a classroom teacher, school leader, or support staff member, this session offers a strengths-based and inclusive foundation for supporting students with Down syndrome to thrive at school.
