Step back in time and into the unknown at The Evans Hotel in Bealiba — one of Victoria’s most haunted hotels. Built by George Evans in 1857 during the height of the Gold Rush, this historic inn has seen over 167 years of ghostly tales… and George and his wife Phyllis are still said to be “overseeing” the place from beyond the grave.Who is the little girl seen wandering the halls? What about the maids and patrons who never checked out? And is the groomsman who died tragically in a fire still tending to his horses? Many believe the spirits of Bealiba’s past remain deeply tied to the hotel — and they’re not shy about making their presence known.
