The dancefloor can be a place of joy, free expression and connection. It's a place we go to be ourselves, find community and even escape โ to find a moment of safety in music and movement as a disco ball spins above us, scattering light in every direction.
With a program of disco's greatest hits and songs that disco inspired, Polyphony Discotheque invites you into this world, to hear these anthems shimmer in choral technicolour. From Donna Summer to Bronski Beat to Kylie Minogue, join us for a celebration of joy, catharsis, and camp brilliance.

Polyphony Discotheque will be held on Gadigal and Wangal land. We acknowledge the Gadigal and the Wangal as traditional custodians of this land, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. They have gathered to share stories, music and culture here for tens of thousands of years, and we are grateful to be able to do so as a community today.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

DESCRIPTION
STATUS
Polyphony is an award winning community choir based in Eora (Sydney).
Formed over a decade ago, Polyphony has been directed by some of Australia's leading contemporary classical musicians (Oliver John Cameron, Jack Colwell, Sally Whitwell, Dan Walker & Corin Bone).
Not limiting itself by genre, Polyphony explores a range of modern and traditional work, whether it be a 19th-century song cycle or a Radiohead classic. Polyphony aims to explore through performance a wide range of repertoire (David Bowie, Bjรถrk, Kate Bush, Saint-Saรซns, Powderfinger, Daft Punk... to name a few!) keeping its members โ and its audience โ on their toes.
