WAAPA 2026 Junior Academy The Actor's WORKSHOP
Students in The Actor’s Workshop program at WAAPA will develop the core skills needed by the actor to confidently perform on stage and screen. They will learn the importance of voice, movement and acting techniques through hands-on workshops. Their understanding of character development will be explored through improvisation, script analysis, scene work and audition preparation. The Actor’s Workshop helps students to build self-confidence as they get to apply their skills to stage and screen. Participants will develop ensemble skills and the confidence needed to collaborate and work as part of a team. They will be guided by experienced teachers, who aim to challenge students in a respectful and encouraging environment, allowing them to develop their talent and abilities. Students are divided into Junior (yr 7 to 9) and Senior (yr 10 to 12) groups. Booking is done on a term-by-term basis.
